How to Slow down Anxiety

There are cases when these feelings became impossible to control, without the intervention of special external factors. This leads to the disruption of daily movements and it can affect the health of the person who suffers due to anxiety.

1. Aromatherapy

The treatment of anxiety involves 2 approaches:

1. Counseling

This method of treatment consists of a series of discussions with a psychiatrist or counselor to identify the behavior or psychological causes of anxiety. The therapist or the psychiatrist helps patients to change their behavior and the way of thinking, determining him to behave positively in most situations.

2. Medication

Anxiety medication will involve the administration of a medical treatment, including antidepressants. Although this determines the reduction of anxiety symptoms and an improvement of the patient state, the medical treatment presents some side effects especially if it's used for a long time, including drugs addiction.

The medical treatment should be followed under the strict medical surveillance, and as long as other methods of treatment have proved to be ineffective.

對於焦慮性神經症的治療主要是以心理治療為主，當然也可以適當配合藥物進行綜合治療。患者不妨按以下幾種方法進行自我治療：

１．自我感提昇
自信是治癒神經性焦慮的必要前提。一些對自己沒有自信心的人，對自己完成和應付事物的能力是懷疑的，誇大自己失敗的可能性，從而憂慮、緊張和恐懼。

所以，作為一個神經性焦慮症的患者，你必須首先自信，減少自卑感。應該相信自己每增加一次自信，焦慮程度就會降低一點，恢復自信，也就是最終驅逐焦慮。

２．自我放鬆
也就是從緊張情緒中解脫出來。例如：你在精神不錯的情況下，去想象種種可能的危險畫面，讓最弱的情況首先出現。並重復出現，你慢慢便會想到任何危險情景或整個過程都不再體驗到焦慮。此時便算終止。

３.自我反省
有些神經性焦慮是因為患者對某些情緒體驗或欲望造成壓抑，壓抑到無意中去了，但它並沒有消失，仍潛伏於無意識中，也因此便為生了病症。發病時你只知道痛苦焦慮，而不知其因。因此在此種情況下，你必須進行自我反省，把潛意識中引起痛苦的事情訴說出來。必要時可以發泄，發泄後症狀一般可消失。

４.自我刺激
焦慮性神經症患者發作後，腦中總是胡思亂想，坐立不安，百思不得其解，痛苦異常。此時，患者可使用自我刺激法，轉移自己的注意力。如在胡思亂想時，找一些有趣的能吸引人的書讀，或從事緊張的體力勞動，忘卻痛苦的事情。這樣就可以防止東想西猜再為生其他病症，同時也可增強你的適應能力。

５．自我催眠
焦慮症患者大多數有睡眠障礙，很難入睡或突然從夢中驚醒，這時你可以進行自我暗示催眠。如：可以數數，或用手舉書本讀等促使自己入睡。

在自我採取以上方法的同時，要配合使用抗焦慮藥。常看到的有安定、利眠寧等，可以口服也可以肌肉或靜脈注射。如果焦慮伴有抑鬱，服用多慮平、阿米替林等三環類抗抑鬱藥有良好效果。

自已是焦慮性神經症患者，必須能夠嚴格遵照醫囑，並進行密切配合性的自我療程，不需太久時間一定能結束焦慮。
