Many people are not logical and it’s because they’ve never tried to be. I’m trying to help my daughter be more than the ignorant American that she is expected to be living in this country. Sure, maybe we’ve got a long way to go – but I’m doing what I can. Note: The whole vlog isn’t about my daughter, I also talk about women drivers, racism and something else I don’t know what to call it.

Men’s brains aren’t “significantly better” is a rather loaded/offensive statement. Are you saying that, in part, men ARE smarter than women?
Every man I have had a relationship with has been fairly crappy at directions and I have always been the navigator. It has always been thusly in my life.
But then again, we both know I have the mind of a man in many aspects, so, who knows.
I’m not excluding the possibility that men are insignificantly more adept at cognitive thinking than women. On the other hand, I’m not trying to imply that either. However, If a scientific report came out that said men are 3% more adept innately than women at math, a margin which could easily be overcome through a small amount of interest / work, I wouldn’t want that to invalidate my point.
Quite frankly, that changes my view on you significantly. Math isn’t everything, sir.
I’m confused – at what point in time did I imply that “math was everything”? I’m saying that women can achieve whatever that they want and they are in control of their own fate. What is offensive about that? I’m saying we need to have the same expectations and people will succeed, male or female. I consider myself a feminist, but for me it is logical, not a religion. Regardless, I am re-watching the video to see if I said anything out of line. Sometimes I run my f*cking mouth
Perhaps we just suffer from an inability to communicate (not the first time we’ve run across this, I believe). I was simply stating that if you considered the scientific report that came out claiming that males were 3% more adept at math to constitute significant intelligence, then that was ludicrous. But, then again, I’m a “glass half full” kinda’ gal.

I’m not backtracking at all here. And I don’t think I was out of line – I just rewatched what I said. It seems like you’re mad because you think I said the opposite of what I said. Here’s my position. 1. If there is a difference between men and women in this regard, innately, then it is not significant. 2. Even is such an [insignificant] difference exists, experience and expectations far outweigh any innate ability.
Ah well, very good sir. I really just wanted a clarification I suppose. And now I have one. Carry on.
